May 17, 2009: Swat Situation, Immigration and Muslim Action Day

With all that’s been going on in Pakistan over the last week or two, particularly, we have a large focus on Swat and the people who have been fleeing the fighting there. The plan for this week’s show is as follows:

1:00pm-1:20pm, Central Time

1:20pm to 1:45pm
Swat “IDP” Situation
Zebu Jillani, granddaughter of the last Wali-e-Swat, Miangul Aurangzeb who is associated with Aman Tehreek, a group established byPakistani students of Harvard, Columbia to help IDPs.

1:45pm – 2:10pm
Immigration
Sardar N Durrani, attorney , immigration lawyer from Wisconsin, will answering listeners’ questions on immigration.

2:10pm to 2:30pm
Muslim Action Day
Ahmed Khan and Junaid Afeef from CIOGC discuss Muslim Action Day.

2:30pm to 3:00pm
Global Call-in about the “IDP” Situation in Pakistan.

We’re expecting Dr. Awab Alvi (“Teeth Maestro“), Aqil Sajjad of Harvard, AbdulRahman Rafiq of SARelief.com, and our own team, including Rauf Tabani Saahab’s report from Pakistan and Sabahat Ashraf (“iFaqeer”) from Silicon Valley
Dr. Alvi  is also going to Mardan to help relief and is working on the package for the IDPs.
