Hour 2: Rabiul Awal Special Naat by Naila Mughal. Followed by a discussion on the topic “Rediscovering Islam in South Asia”. The discussion participants were Kashiful Huda of twocircles.net and Zubair Hudawi, a resident of Kerala and now doing research on Islamic Education in Jawahir Lal Nehru University.

The discussion was based on when the first muslims came to India.
The first Mosque of South Asia was Cheraman Mosque and the guests provided the historical significance of this masjid. This masjid was built in the 5th Hijra.

Hour 2: Discussion on celebrating Valentine’s Day , Expatriots in Chicago calling in and giving their opinions against celebrating Valentine’s day and concerned about how this was celebrated with so much fervour in Pakistan in recent months and also the way TV Channels have promoted this event by doing special programs and shows.


This was followed by an Exclusive Interview with Veteran Journalist and News Anchor of Express News and popular show “Center Stage”. A candid interview on various topics related to the current electronic media. A number of questions were raised by the viewers on the selection of topics and bringing in same guests in almost every talkshow and too much dragging of issues such as NRO and others to a point where the common man lost interest.
